Vacancy Description: As a new role within our IN-HOUSE creative studio, our Senior Creative Copywriter will work hand in hand with designers, video content makers, social teams and producers through the generation of innovative concepts and messages that can be reshaped and rewritten and evolved through to the final campaign outputs (spanning international digital ad campaigns, videos and animation, dynamic social campaigns, UX/UI design, mailouts, feed content etc).

Job Purpose:

Digital-first creative thinkers play an essential role in the conception and writing of beautiful, exceptional, empathetic and relevant creative ideas, within the delivery of a high volume of quality digital content assets for multiple marketing communication channels.

As a new role within our IN-HOUSE creative studio our Senior Creative Copywriter will work hand in hand with designers, video content makers, social teams and producers through the generation of innovative concepts and messages that can be reshaped and rewritten and evolved through to the final campaign outputs (spanning international digital ad campaigns, videos and animation, dynamic social campaigns, UX/UI design, mailouts, feed content etc). 

 

Location: This role will be UK home-based for foreseeable future (although access to Reading once a month would be ideal).

Reports to: Senior Creative Producer

 

The Role: 

  • An active role, you will come up with everything from new creative ideas and high-level concepts, to everyday social posts.
  • Workiclosely with the marketing team and Chief Brand & Marketing Officer to execute, enhance and elevate the brand - championing creativity and imagination, producing stand-out visuals and videography within a crowded marketplace.
  • Work closely with digital marketing and graphic designers, suggesting creative enhancements to emails, social media & websites.
  • Have a great understanding of all future products ensuring marketing communicates/ visualises the key selling points.
  • Research and recommend new ways to enhance the brands visuals, through all marketing channels.
  • Dissect internal campaign briefs and translate these into ad assets. 
  • Perform UX research and testing to ensure the customer journey is as robust as it is beautiful. 
  • Prepare and pitch new ideas to the team.
  • Listen to and respond to briefs, and question where there are gaps.
  • Uncover new ways to incorporate emerging and new media formats into campaigns.
  • Demonstrate excellent grammar and spelling skills.
  • Understand a brand’s tone-of-voice and write compelling, on-brand copy for a variety of audiences and media.
  • Able to develop tone of voice for brands, as well as write comprehensive guidelines.

 

Skills and Experience:

  • An exceptionally talented ideas generator and creative content producer.
  • Possess not just exceptional copywriting skills, but the ability to implement strategic and conceptual thinking as well.
  • Passionate about design, brand marketing and storytelling, and that you have a solid understanding of current trends and how they relate.
  • Fully in-tune with social media trends and will have worked for an award-winning creative agency or brand to produce ‘high-engagement’ content for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, YouTube and TikTok.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • You have a compelling portfolio of work that demonstrates high quality copywriting and concepting across a variety of projects.
