These JCB Toughphones were so good that the mighty Motorola (soon to be part of the even mightier Google Inc.) asked us to create a JCB limited edition of their superb ‘Life Proof’ Motorola Defy.
We developed a protective shell using a patented visco-elastic material with re-entrant geometry (get us!!). These non-Newtonian properties mean that the harder you hit it the better it works. In short - you can drop it without it breaking.
Then we created an application that includes a spirit level, a theodolite, a decibel meter & recorder, a torch, a unit converter and a calculator. As well as the essential tools for any construction job the app also includes a DIY store locator.
The JCB limited edition Defy also includes a car charger with an extra long curly cable and an extra years warranty.
Life Proof just became Work Proof!
